All of our doctors have completed doctoral programs and residencies in clinical psychology. In addition to their doctoral training, they have all completed two-year specialty fellowships in neuropsychology, allowing them to evaluate and help in treating individuals with conditions that directly or indirectly impact brain functions in relation to cognition, behaviors and emotions.
Michelle Bobulinski, Ph.D., Associate Neuropsychologist
Dr. Bobulinski completed her undergraduate work at Bucknell University. She completed her masters degree in psychology at New York University. She obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver. Her residency in clinical psychology was completed the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Bobulinski completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology at Yale University School of Medicine.
Jennifer Caruso, Psy.D., Associate Neuropsychologist
Dr. Caruso Completed her undergraduate work at Binghamton University – State University of New York. She completed a masters degree in clinical psychology at Argosy University. Dr. Caruso also completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Argosy University. Dr. Caruso completed a residency in clinical psychology at Henry Ford Hospital & Health System in Michigan. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Hartford Hospital & the Institute of Living.
David Lovejoy, Psy.D., ABN, Associate Neuropsychologist & Senior Partner
Dr. Lovejoy completed his undergraduate work at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He completed is doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Virginia Consortium (College of William & Mary, Eastern Virginia Medical School, Old Dominion University and Norfolk State University). Dr. Lovejoy completed his residency in clinical psychology at Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Hartford Hospital & the Institute of Living.
Jay Beatman, Psy.D., Consulting Staff Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Beatman earned his undergraduate degree at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. He obtained his master’s degree in clinical psychology at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Beatman continued his doctoral education in clinical psychology at the University of Hartford. He underwent his pre-doctoral internship at the Institute of Living & Hartford Hospital, where he provided psychotherapy and psychological assessment to adults and adolescents. Dr. Beatman’s doctoral dissertation explored the challenges that individuals may navigate in the process of identity development during their transition from late adolescence to young adulthood. He completed his post-doctoral training at the Child & Family Agency of Southeastern Connecticut. Dr. Beatman has spent the majority of his professional career in private practice in Avon, where he provides clinical services to adults, couples, families, adolescents and children.
James Pier, Ph.D., Associate Neuropsychologist & Senior Partner
Dr. Pier completed his undergraduate degree at Boston College. He completed his masters degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Pier also obtained his doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University. He completed his residency in clinical psychology at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Pier completed his postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Hartford Hospital & the Institute of Living.
